Recreate the Looks from the 75th Golden Globe Awards
On Sunday night, the 75th Golden Globe Awards show was filled with designer looks, celebrity appearances and tribute to the actors and actresses whose memorable on-screen performances were honored on stage.
Hollywood stepped forward in a wardrobe that consisted mostly of black gowns and tuxedos to make a statement about gender inequality. Both men and women united in the movement, marking the 2018 Golden Globes as a social forum that extended beyond just a platform for an awards show.
One of the most memorable moments of the night was when Oprah Winfrey was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award – she became the first black woman ever to win the honor and used her acceptance speech to take a stand against injustice of power.
We recreated Oprah’s iconic eyewear look with Leon Max style 6018 – this show-stopping cat-eye shape in Black (021) will captivate a room just like Oprah. Get it here.
Other eyewear looks of the night included Meryl Streep, who’s contemporary frames can be duped for Via Spiga style Leona in Wine.
And of course, the charming Tom Hanks, who’s look we recreated using Randy Jackson style 3027 in Crystal.
