ZYLOWARE & OPTICAL ACADEMY HOST COMMUNITY EVENT FOR NATIONAL EYEWEAR DAY

Port Chester, NY:  Zyloware and Optical Academy partnered to provide a community event featuring free eye exams and eyewear in celebration of National Eyewear Day. The event was held on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018 from 3-6pm at The Carver Center in Port Chester, NY.

This year’s 3rdannual National Eyewear Day fell on the same year that marks 95 years since Zyloware founder, Joseph Shyer, began the company in 1923.. To celebrate this milestone, Zyloware teamed up with Optical Academy to make an impact in the community by providing free eye exams and eyewar to those in need.

Zyloware, America’s longest running family-owned eyewear source, and Optical Academy, a revolutionary provider for eye exams and optical solutions, ensured those within the community access to necessary vision resources. The partnership represents how two industry leaders are coming together to help all see a beautiful day, every day!

During the three-hour community event on Wednesday, Zyloware and Optical Academy were able to provide free vision services that included an eye exam, vision screening and quality eyewear with each patients’ prescription to over 60 registered people of the community. Patient ages ranged from children to seniors, all of whom would not have had access to these services before attending National Eyewear Day.

#SeeingBeautiful

A Campaign to Help All See a Beautiful Day, Everyday

A yearly comprehensive eye exam checks for signs of common vision problems, screens for eye diseases — many of which show no early warning signs — and ensures your vision prescription is up-to-date. This is especially critical for those who are at risk of developing glaucoma and diabetes, as early detection can help slow down, or even reverse lifelong damage to your eyes. Everyone should see a beautiful day everyday!

Need even more incentive for your exam? Upload a photo showing off your new frames to Instagram with the hashtag #SeeingBeautiful, and you’ll be entered to win a $500 Amex gift card. A new prescription resulting from a yearly eye exam is a great opportunity to update your wardrobe with a new pair of frames that show off your personal style! Zyloware will choose the lucky winner on August 20 at 12pm!
