This past Thursday, June 6th, marked the Fourth Annual National Eyewear Day. We started the holiday to honor our founder Joseph Shyer and to spread our mission to help people to see a beautiful day every day! At Zyloware we are aware of the confidence and comfort that comes along with receiving an eye health exam and a pair of glasses. This is why we celebrate National Eyewear Day and work towards spreading our mission year round.
For the second year in a row, Zyloware and Optical Academy, a revolutionary provider for eye exams and optical solutions, ensured those within the community access to necessary vision resources. We love partnering with such an amazing company that works hard to help the people that need it the most. Optical Academies moble labs can bring comprehensive eye health exams right to your door.
This year the four-hour event was hosted at our headquarters on Slater Street in Port Chester, New York. Together Zyloware and Optical Academy were able to provide free vision services that included an eye exam, vision screening and quality eyewear with each patients’ prescription to over 78 community members. Patient ages ranged from children to seniors, all of whom would not have had access to these services before attending this National Eyewear Day event. The entire Zyloware team assisted with the event, helping change their community for the better.
